Eric wants to start investigating something Ursula said while he was her captive.
To help Eric and Ariel be together on land, you learn that you’ll need to put together an enchanted item that will allow her to shapeshift.
You can get this quest after getting Prince Eric to Friendship level 3. After completing this quest, Ariel will be able to walk on land. Here you can find all your subjects for the quest and explanations behind it. 

• Talk to Maui: you can see on the map where he is. Go talk with him.
• Gather the Ingredients for the Shapeshifting Enchantment; 5 White Impatiens, 5 Purified Night Shard and 1 Empty Vial: the White Impatiens can be found in the Forgotten Lands. Purified Night Shards can be made from 5 Night Shards and one Dream Shard, both you can find by digging holes in sparkling ground.
• Craft the Shapeshifting Enchantment at a Crafting Station: use the ingredients you just gathered.
• Return to Eric: you can find on the map where he is. Go talk with him.
• Bring Remy the Fish Gut Oil: you can see on the map where Remy is. With talking to him, you show him the oil.
• Gather the Ingredients for the bait; 4 Garlics, 4 Onions, 1 Lancetfish and 1 Crab: You can find Garlic in the Forest of Valor. Onions you can buy at Goofy’s Stall in the Forest of Valor. A Lancetfish can be found in the Forgotten Lands. Crab can be found In the Frosted Heights.
• Bring Remy the ingredients for the bait: you can see on the map where Remy is. With talking to him, you give him the ingredients.
• Use the Nautilus Bait in your Inventory to apply it to your Fishing Rod: open it up in your backpack.
• Fish a Nautilus on Dazzle Beach where the river meets the sea: fish near the bridge at an orange bubbling place.
• Return to Eric: you can see on the map where he. Go talk with him.
• Bring the Nautilus Pendant to Ariel: you can see on the map where she is. Go talk with her to give her the Pendant.
• Talk to Eric: with talking to him, you complete this quest.
