Scar has an idea about how to remove the last of the skulls. He is now sure Mother Gothel had a way to pass through the wildebeest bones before, and suggests you go talk to her.
Mother Gothel is still mad at Scar for scaring her in the past, but she agrees to help you. She explains that the solution to the wildebeest bones barrier lies in some Old Bones and the Circle of Life.
After speaking with Scar, you realize you’ll have to turn the Old Bones and Ashes, then plant them, so a Flower can grow.
You use the Flower to craft an upgrade for your Royal Shovel.
It worked. Scar must be happy to finally be able to explore the Plateau again.
You can get this quest after getting Scar to Friendship level 7. After this quest, you will be able to remove large wildebeest bones. Here you can find all your subjects for the quest and explanations behind it.
- Talk to Mother Gothel: you can find on the map where she is.
- Gather the materials for the upgrade: 10 Purified Night Shards and The Old Bones in the mines under the Sunlit Plateau: you can make purified night shards from 5 night shards and 1 dream shard. You can find them both by digging in sparkling ground. The old bones can be found at the vitalys mine on the Sunlit plateau. Go inside the mines. Then go the first left, then right and then left again. There you will find the bones.
- Return to Scar: you can see on the map where he is.
- Place the Old Bones in the Volcanic Geyser in Scar’s Cave: go inside scar house. There you can place the bones on the volcanic geyser.
- Pick up the Ashes: pick up the ashes that appear.
- Plant the Ashes anywhere on the Sunlit Plateau: plant the ashes in the sunlit plateau.
- Care for the Flower of Bones: give it water. Then come back an hour later, give them again water and they will be ready.
- Craft the Roaring Shovel Head: go to a crafting station. And craft it from all the materials you gathered during the quest.
- Use the Roaring Shovel Head to improve your Shovel: go to your backpack. There you can activate the item.
- Remove 3 wildebeest bones blocking the wooden bridge on the sunlit plateau: use your shovel on the large wildebeest bones near the bridge on the Sunlit Plateau.
- Talk to Scare: you can see on the map where he is. With talking to him, you complete this quest.
