The Great Blizzard
An enchanted blizzard has started in the Frosted Heights. You’ll need to investigate to find out what’s going on.
Merlin tells you that you’ll need to investigate the center of the magical disturbance if you’re to have any hope of solving this.
Inside the secret chamber, you find Olaf. He’s been trapped in here for a long time. But before he can help you solve the magical mystery, you’ll need to help him find all his pieces.
Elsa shows you how to use your Watering Can to uncover the memories within water. You discover that it was you who ripped the Orb from the Pillar all those years ago.
With Olaf’s help, you learn that the Orb was thrown into the flickering portal. You’ll need to figure out how to stabilize it to get the Orb.
You recover the Orb and Olaf’s arms. But something is wrong with the Orb. Its light is dim, and the magic inside of it no longer seems to be working.
A simple act of love — a warm hug from Olaf — turns out to be all it takes to restore the light inside the Orb. You place it back in the Pillar in the Frosted Heights, and the Dark Magic powering the blizzard dissipates.
You can get this quest without having Elsa in your Valley, but you need her to complete it. So my advice is to first get Elsa before you focus on this quest. You get this quest after opening up Frosted Heights and completing the quest: The Curse (Story Quest Mother Gothel). With completing this quest, you get Olaf in your Valley and Scary Squirrel as animal companion. Here you can find all your subjects for the quest and explanations behind it. 

• There’s a magical blizzard in the Frosted Heights! Consult with Merlin: talk with Merlin, you can find on the map where he is.
• Search around for clues to the source of the blizzard in the Frosted Heights: go to the Frosted Heights. There you see footsteps going to a wall.
• Interact with the wall of the cliff: walk to the wall and interact with it.
• Enter the secret chamber in the wall of the cliff in the Frosted Heights: go inside the cliff.
• Search the blizzard for the scary squirrels: go back to the Frosted Heights.
• Chase down the 4 Scary Squirrels to get Olaf’s buttons and nose back: try to catch the squirrels.
• Return to the secret chamber and bring Olaf his nose and buttons: go back to Olaf and talk with him.
• Talk to Elsa: you can find on the map where she is.
• Investigate the Pillar in the Frosted Heights: walk towards the Pillar.
• Use your Watering Can on the sparkling water particles near the Pillar: take out your watering can and use it on the sparkling water particles near the Pillar.
• Talk to Elsa about what you saw: go back to Elsa.
• Return to Olaf in the secret chamber: go back to Olaf and talk with him.
• Use your watering can on the sparkling water particles in the secret chamber: use your watering can near the book closet and table.
• Use your watering can on the sparkling water particles closer to the portal in the secret chamber: use your watering can near the portal.
• Find a book about portals in the secret chamber: there are more books lying on the ground, you only need one. I took a screenshot of the book that you need, so just look at the photo.
• Talk to Olaf: he is still in the chamber.
• Gather 10 Glass, 5 Purified Night Shard and 3 Shattered prisms in the secret chamber: the shattered prism is lying in the chamber. Glass can be made from 5 sands and 1 coal ore. Sand can be found by digging at Dazzle Beach and removing sea debris. Coal Ore can be found with mining at every location. Purified Night Shard, you can make from 5 Night Shards and 1 Dream Shards. You can find them both by digging at sparkling ground and removing night thorns.
• Craft the Dreamlight Prism at a crafting station: you can use the items you just gathered.
• Place the Dreamlight prism on the pedestal in the secret chamber: go back to the chamber. Place there the prism on the pedestal.
• Figure out which 3 gems are missing in the secret chamber and replace them. You need an Amethyst, Citrine and Emerald. You can find the Amethyst at the Frosted Heights and Forgotten Lands. The Citrine can be found at Sunlit Plateau and Glade of Trust. Emerald is in the Forest of Valor and Glade of Trust.
• Whisper one of your deepest fears to the flickering portal in the secret chamber: interact with the portal. You can choose between 3 fears; spiders, clowns or being alone.
• The Orb seems to be broken. But at least you have found Olaf’s arms. Give Olaf his arms back: talk with Olaf.
• Place the orb in the pillar in the Frosted Heights: go back to the Frosted Heights and place the orb in the pillar.
• Talk to Olaf in the secret chamber: go back to Olaf and talk with him. By talking with him, you end this quest.
